Can I replace my 2 Generation ipod nano battery without an opening tool?

I ordered an ipod battery replacement kit and they incldued the battery and 2 screwdrivers but no opening tool...is there anything else I can use to open my ipod besides the opening tool?

Umm I'm not sure but u should go to apple instead for it to be repaired because my dad had an iPod and he was finally going to give it to me and he put the battery in and when he opened it a part ripped or and bow I can't even use it u have to have it
