Is it possible to run an Apache web server on a USB thumb drive STAND-ALONE, on a Windows desktop?

I want to be able to have a "portable" web site, to do demos on PCs without having to install or configure the PC. I know I can install to the USB drive, keep configuration file on the drive, and store pages, but what about the "service"?
