How do I view PDF files on my iPhone 3G?

I was wondering if there was a way of transferring downloaded bus timetables in PDF format to my iPhone 3G from my Macbook, has anyone done this and can help me to do it myself?

IBooks will read pdf files. Just drag drop the file into the books tab under the ipood in itunes.
