How to network mac osx & pc with cable internet?

I have iMac4.1 with OSX4.8 and a Dell Dimension 4600 with Windows XP. My cable modem is a 3meg down/256k up.
1) What kind of router do I need to have them both access the internet?

Pretty much any router will work. I use a Linksys purchased from Best Buy. Of course get a wireless one if necessary. That's all the hardware you need.
