Both are allowed in my high school.
People always listen to their ipods in the hallways, and during class, if you're doing quiet work, working on something, when the teacher isn't talking, you're allowed to.

eelben Should I buy an iPod for law school? I'm concerned about compatibility issues with law schools in general. Are law schools in certain tiers or jurisdictions compatible with iPods? Will my law school support iTunes 7.5? What about USB 2.0? Will my iPod charge through regular law school outlets? Perhaps a Zune would be a better choice?
