I have an iphone and I am going to Dominican Republic. Do I need to buy a travel charger adapter?

All I have is the USB that plugs into the back of my computer!

Unless you are planning on taking a laptop and you have a travel adaptor for that then I would say yes. I have a power adaptor for mine which the end of the USB cable just connects to. You may be able to get one of those for the country which you live
