ipod touch technical service - minolta ftp server

Anyone willing to help? Need desperate iPod technical help!!!?

So every time i plug in my iPod TOUCH into the computer, it says "This ipod cannot be used because the apple mobile device service is not started" !?!??!?! It's not even an iPhone!
Is there a way that i can restore (NOT RESET) my iPod

maybe you could try and transfer all your music to another computer like how ipod users can use idump or senuti..idk if it would work with an iphone though. and once you have all your music elsewhere you could start pushing all the buttons and see what
