Programming languages?

I'm interested in learning how to program and I wonder which programming languages is best fit for beginners. Should I start with Python first then JavaScript? And how should I remember how to script?
Also, how long did it take for you programmers

Start with C. I'm not saying you have to become an expert in C before you can use any other language. It's just that C is a good tool for learning the fundamental concepts of programming.
