Should I buy the maintenance plan for the iPod touch 4th generation?

I bought this for my son for Christmas. The store offered me a two-year maintenance plan for $20.
I refused the offer. They tell me I have two weeks to change my mind. My son is 14 years old. Is it a good idea to get the maintenance plan or not?
