My iphone 4 is saying it has sent messages but the contact i sent them to is not receiving anything. Pls help?

I have an iphone 4 and just recently my texts to one of my contacts are not being received by the said contact. My iphone does not say the texts havent sent and until recently the contact was receiving the messages fine. Please can you help i really want
